I've been to the play at the theatre with my gig buddy Reyna. Its not that similar to the movie, the actors Esther Hannaford and Brent Hill play the two main roles, Seymore Krelborn and Audrey. The plant is so huge, it takes up the whole stage, and it sings the songs, "feed me, supper time!". Its a similar style to Rocky Horror Picture Show. In the film and in the musical the plant is an alien, its a little bit scary, I like the good natures not the bad ones. I don't really like the way Orin Scrivello, Audrey's boyfriend treats her in the film and in the play, swearing at her, and he slapped her in the face because he wanted her to give him attention. He's needy. He drove her on the motorcycle, but he doesn't treat her well. Seymore feeds Audrey's boyfriend to the plant. In the musical Seymore thinks Audrey only likes him because he's famous for having this unusual plant, and so he feels trapped, like he has to keep feeding people to the plant. But actually she already liked him. I don't like the scary parts of the end where Audrey and Seymore have to fight the plant to stop it from taking over the world. Its a little bit much violence, I like the music, but the violence in these musicals like Rocky Horror and Little Shop of Horrors.
